COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification covers workers in children’s services who are responsible for planning, implementing and managing programs in early childhood services, in accordance with the National Quality Framework and duty of care requirements. At this level workers have responsibility for supervision of other staff and volunteers

Students will learn to:

  • manage services
  • plan programmes
  • supervise staff
  • communicate effectively with families
  • monitor the well being of children
  • work in council and early childhood organisations
  • administer occupational health and safety requirements.

Educators with a Diploma qualification are eligible to become Nominated and Certified Supervisor of a Childrens Service.

6 terms, 10 weeks per term, 20 hours per week
